‘Showbiz Inside Report’ Gains Praises for Fresh Approach to Afternoon Talk Show

ABS-CBN’s newest showbiz-oriented talk show “Showbiz Inside Report” (SIR) instatly made a mark among TV viewers as its pilot episode not only trended worldwide on Twitter but also won in nationwide ratings game, beating its rival program in GMA, “Startalk.”

In its first airing, SIR hosts Janice de Belen, Carmina Villaroel, Joey Marquez and Ogie Diaz tackled the different stories behind the controversial Ramgen Revilla murder case. They shed light to the issue by hearing out the voices of the victim’s mother Genelyn Magsaysay, Ram’s girfriend Janelle Manahan, and Janelle’s father Julius. The viewers also took part in the discussion through Ogie’s “man-on-the-street” interview in the university belt and the live comments posted on SIR’s social networking sites.

Carmina Villaroel, Janice de Belen, Joey Marquez and Ogie Diaz topbill ABS-CBN’s newest showbiz-oriented talkshow, “Showbiz Inside Report.”

ABS-CBN levels up the TV viewers’ weekend showbiz experience with the launch of its newest showbiz-oriented talkshow titled, “Showbiz Inside Report (S.I.R.)” this Saturday, February 4, featuring a fresh combination of empowered hosts including original Kapamilya star Carmina Villaroel, muti-awarded TV host-actress Janice de Belen, actor-politician Joey Marquez, and ‘blind item’ king Ogie Diaz.

“S.I.R.” takes an in-depth look on the news and the people behind some of the most talked issues in show business. Carmina shared, “I’m excited with our show because it gives me the opportunity to get to know the Kapamilya stars much better.” Janice added, “We will discover the real happening behind every story.”

Meanwhile, Joey stressed that viewers must watch out on the hosts’ varying perspectives. He said, “I want to learn from my co-hosts’ thoughts. And since we have different personalities, I’m curious to hear their own opinions about the issues we are presenting.”

TEASER: Showbiz Inside Stories is now Showbiz Inside Report!

ABS-CBN released a 31-seconds promo teaser for the newest Philippine showbiz oriented talk show, “Showbiz Inside Report” to be broadcasted on ABS-CBN replacing the Entertainment Live (E-Live). The said talk show premiers on February 4, 2012.

It was previously reported that the title of the show would be Showbiz Inside Stories (SIS). They were probably staying away from the SIS acronym as it was a former title of the show Carmina and Janice used to host on GMA.

 

Hosts will be Ogie Diaz (former E-Live host), along with Carmina Villaroel (former SIS host on GMA-7), Janice de Belen and Joey Marquez (former S-Files hosts on GMA-7)
