Sacha Baron Cohen left his mark on the Oscars red carpet and it wasn't just because he arrived as his character from The Dictator.
During E! News' pre-show on Sunday, Baron Cohen, dressed in full dictator regalia, spoke with host Ryan Seacrest in character and showed off a very special accessory: an golden urn filled with what he claimed to be the ashes of the late North Korean dictator Kim Jong-il.
"It was his dream to come to the Oscars and to be sprinkled over the red carpet and over Halle Berry's chest again," Baron Cohen told Seacrest. The supposed remains - most likely some sort of flour -- left quite a stain when Baron Cohen proceeded to spill the ashes on Seacrest's Burberry tuxedo in the middle of the interview.
The actor was quickly strong-armed away, and a none-too pleased Seacrest quickly started cleaning himself up with napkins and a lint roller.
The Dictator opens in theaters nationwide on May 11.
