Christian Bautista Reveals Transfer Talks with TV5

After Willie Revillame, Aga Muhlach, Mariel Rodriguez, and Sharon Cuneta, is Christian  Bautista next in line? I bet you know what I mean.

“Wala pa namang final. Nagkaroon lang ng pag-uusap, ng negotiation. I’m still under contract with ABS-CBN until August. After August, tignan po natin,” Christian revealed following rumors of his ongoing talks with TV5 executives about his possible transfer.

“Life goes on, work goes on, but we’ll see if there are opportunities when the contract ends.” he added.

Rumor also has it that TV5, if ever Christian decided to transfer to Kapatid network, will give the singer a "Kanta Pilipinas" hosting job.

Derek Ramsay is now a certified Kapatid; signs three-year exclusive contract with TV5

Three-year exclusive contract ang pinirmahan ni Derek sa TV5.

Ginanap ang contract signing sa Edsa Shangri-La Hotel ngayong gabi, April 10.

Present sa contract signing ang TV5 executives na sina Atty. Ray Espinosa (CEO and President) at Mr. Perci Intalan (Head for Creative and Entertainmen). Kasama naman ni Derek ang kanyang talent manager na si Jojie Dingcong.

Ang unang magiging programa ni Derek bilang isang Kapatid ay ang reality show na The Amazing Race Philippines.

THE DECISION. During the contract signing ay nakapanayam ng media si Dere k at sinagot niya ang mga katanungan kaugnay ng kanyang desisyong lisanin ang ABS-CBN at lumipat sa TV5.

Ayon kay Derek ay matagal bago siya tuluyang magdesisyon na lumipat na ng istasyon.

“It took a long time… half a year, actually,” sambit niya.

Ano ang naging turning point sa naging desisyon niya?

“A weighing scale of which decision to make.

“You know, I think I proved my loyalty to ABS two years ago when I was being offered to transfer but I signed a contract for two years.

“For me, siguro, change is always good and I think I’m at that point in my career when it’s time to change.

“I think it’s that point in my career when I like the project na ginawa ko.

“Pero iba ‘pag papasok ka sa trabaho, ‘tapos there’s something talaga that feels your passion, your interest.

“And TV5 was giving me projects or offers that’s close to the passion that I have.

“So, I’m really excited to do that [and] that’s what pushed me to make that decision." paliwanag ng hunky actor.

Derek Ramsay confirmed to transfer to TV5!

Derek Ramsay is transferring to TV5.

This is what Bong Osorio, head of ABS-CBN Corporate Communications, said in a statement sent to Yahoo! Philippines OMG and other media outlets.

The statement reads, “Derek Ramsay has decided to transfer to TV5. For months, ABS-CBN has exerted efforts to make him stay as a Kapamilya. TV5, however, offered him an amount that was difficult for him to refuse.  We thank Derek for the many years he has been with ABS-CBN.”

In an interview with the members of the media during the press conference of his Star Cinema movie “Corazon: Ang Unang Aswang,” Derek confirmed that his contract with ABS-CBN expired last February and he’s waiting for an offer from the Kapamilya network.

“Yung gusto ko, sariling kusa. So I want it to come from them. Ang trato ko sa ABS is pamilya, so manggaling na lang sa kanila kung ano ang gusto nilang ibigay,” he explained.

A few weeks after, in an exclusive interview with Yahoo! Philippines OMG! last March 14, Derek said he’s not looking for a “certain number” from the offer. Instead, he wants “to see how the efforts I’ve done are appreciated” and that he wants to do projects that “I’m passionate about.” The actor also confirmed that he already received an offer from ABS-CBN at that time.

Derek is rumored to host the Philippine edition of “The Amazing Race” on TV5.

What seems to be a simple move for TV5 to boost its popularity in the Philippines turns out to have a bigger objective.

'The Amazing Race Philippines' Now Accepting Applicants!

The world’s most prestigious adventure race is now accepting applicants for its first Philippine edition!

The twelve-time Emmy Award winner for “Outstanding Reality-Competition Program” arrives on local shores with an open call for contestants of The Amazing Race Philippines.

The show’s producers consider the Philippines as one of their favorite places to shoot, and now you can take part in this grand event too. There are three ways to audition: online, mail-in and on-ground.

For online auditions: visit www.theamazingrace.ph for the link where you can fill up the online registration form and upload your audition video in AVI, MOV or MPG4 format. The audition video’s running time should be a minimum of 1 minute and maximum of 3 minutes.

The much awaited mini-serye Nandito Ako, starring international singing sensation David Archuleta alongside TV5’s primetime princesses Jasmine Curtis Smith and Eula Caballero, will finally have its debut this Monday.

Nandito Ako tells the story of young love, its joys and pains as related by the endearing characters of Josh (David Archuleta), Anya (Jasmine Curtis Smith) and Holly (Eula Caballero). Josh Bradley is an international singer who holds his final leg of concerts in the Philippines. This venture is also a quest to find his real identity. He will meet Holly through one of the promotional activities of his concert. The innocent hearts will brew romance and will soon learn the ways of love. But love has its twists and turns and they’ll soon uncover realities that will change their hearts and minds. Anya, a boyish and carefree lass, is Holly’s best friend. With a twist of fate, will Josh fall for Anya instead?

TV5’s Launches Its Newest Comedy Gameshow “Toink! Sino ang Tama?”

TV5 will definitely make Sunday afternoon more fun and exciting as it introduces its newest comedy game show with a very unique Pinoy flair – “Toink! Sino ang Tama?” airing every Sunday afternoon.

“Toink! Sino ang Tama?” is a TV5 co-production venture with KB Entertainment and hosted by Kapatid primetime princess Alex Gonzaga and basketball star player/TV host Chris Tiu.

The funny duo of Gene Padilla and Pretty Trizsa will provide man-on-the-street (MOS) insights as they scout the streets for random interviewees who could possibly provide the correct answers.

Two studio contestants will each have a celebrity contestant as partner as they go through the three exciting rounds of “Toink! Sino ang Tama?” – the “Sino ang Toink?” round wherein contestants guess who among the three MOS volunteers gave the correct answer, the “Toink! Sino ang Tama?” round which is similar to the first but contestants need to guess who gave the wrong answer instead, and the “Toink! Master!” round wherein contestants will have to choose one MOS and guess whether he or she gave the right or wrong answer.

The pair with the highest points will proceed to the jackpot round wherein they will be given an MOS anser and they will need to guess what the question is.

TV5 to launch its own noontime show Game N Go on March 10; Edu Manzano leads the hosts

Edu Manzano is reportedly one of the hosts of TV5's soon-to-be-launched noontime show, Game N Go.

Magkakaroon na ng sariling noontime variety-game show ang TV5.

Ito ay ang Game N Go, na nakatakdang i-launch sa March 10, 2012, araw ng Sabado. Mapapanood ito araw-araw, Monday to Saturday, simula 11:30 a.m.

Ito ang impormasyong natanggap ng PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) mula sa isang source na may kinalaman sa programa.  Bagamat hindi pa final ang listahan ng hosts, malamang na makasama rito sina Edu Manzano, Gelli de Belen, Tuesday Vargas, Arnell Ignacio, Pretty Trizsa, Wendy Valdez, at Shalani Soledad-Romulo. 

Ayon pa sa source ng PEP, kagabi, February 13, naganap ang presentation of hosts sa management ng TV5 sa Old Spaghetti House sa Libis, Quezon City.

Pero wala raw si Edu kagabi dahil bukod umano ang meeting sa kanya.

Ilang meetings na rin naman daw ang nagaganap sa pagitan ni Edu, sa kanyang manager na si June Rufino, at ang mga taga-Singko mula pa noong conceptualization ng bagong game show na ito.

Excited daw ang lahat sa likod ng produksiyon ng bagong show na ito ng Kapatid network.

Direktang makakatapat ng Game N Go ang It's Showtime ng ABS-CBN.

Mas maaga naman ito ng 30 minutes sa noontime show ng GMA-7 na Eat Bulaga!, na mahigit nang 30 taon sa ere at siyang longest-running noontime show sa Pilipinas.

Kundi old Tagalog films ay foreign canned shows ang napapanood sa noontime slot ng TV5, pero ngayon ay susubukan na nilang mag-game show tuwing tanghali.

Sa pagdating ng Game N Go ay magiging dalawa na ang daily variety-game shows ng TV5. Game N Go sa umaga at Wil Time Bigtime naman sa gabi.

Ito rin ang unang pagsasama nina Edu at Arnell sa isang game show.

Two-hour daily show ang Game N Go, na inaasahang isa sa mga bagong shows na ia-announce ng TV5 sa grand presscon nila bukas, February 15.

Kabilang na rito marahil ang show ni Sharon Cuneta; ang Kanta Pilipinas na ihu-host ng international singer na si Lea Salonga; at ang comedy show na Kapitan Awesome na tatampukan nina Martin Escudero, Empoy, at Andrew E, mula sa direksiyon ni Joyce Bernal.

Ilan din sa mga bagong shows na naka-lineup sa TV5 ay ang reality shows na Extreme Makeover, Amazing Race Philippines, at Love In Temptation Island.

‘Valiente’ Premieres this Monday on TV5 Primetime!

TV5 brings back the classic Pinoy masterpiece that got the whole nation hooked for five years two decades ago.

Valiente, the most successful dramaserye shown in Philippine history, will find its way back to the hearts of every Filipino as it makes a grand comeback on TV5 primetime starting this Monday, February 13.
