Albert “Betong” Sumaya has been voted as the next Celebrity Sole Survivor. He wins the ₱3,000,000 cash prize!

Just last week, rumors on forums and blogs were spreading and claiming that there was a leak on the result that Betong won this edition of Survivor Philippines. A similar case happened on the first ever Survivor Philippines were the results leaked that JC Tiuseco won. If this is the case, GMA should’ve learned from the same incident years ago.

Survivor Philippines Celebrity Doubles Showdown is all set to name its Celebrity Sole Survivor tonight.

Who among the three remaining castaways – Stef Prescott, Mara Yokohama, and Betong Sumaya – will walk away with the P 3 Million grand prize along with the bragging rights to being this season’s sole survivor?



Recalling  her experience in the camp, 20-year-old Stef shared that in Survivor she has discovered something new about herself. “Before Survivor, there are things I thought I know about myself - my favorite color, my favorite food - pero after Survivor, I found new stuff about myself. I get to be more open. kasi I'm always in denial that ‘no I'm a good person,’ pero after Survivor, you'll become open and now I can say that ‘I am a bad person sometimes.’ Mas nagiging real 'yung pagkatao mo with Survivor and I think mas matatanggap mo 'yung mga tao around you because of Survivor.”

Surfer and youngest castaway Mara, meanwhile, said she matured in Survivor. “Marami akong natutunan. I can say that in Survivor, I grew up a lot emotionally. Marami akong na-realize sa sarili ko like for my future.

Pero I think the best thing that I have learned in the island is that when you thought you have nothing, you still have God. Dun talaga naging malakas 'yung relationship ko kay God. You'll be grateful with the little things in life.”

Joking aside, comedian Betong shared one thing he learned – that is – to never underestimate one's self. “In Survivor, pwede pa lang pumayat, hindi pala mahirap at may pag-asa pala. Kasi sumali ako sa Survivor na obese at may highblood, hindi pala mahirap. At the same time, hindi ko inakala na kaya palang mag-survive sa isla nang kaunting kanin at tubig lang plus the environment 'pag umuulan, natutulog ka nang basa. Natutunan ko na huwag na huwag mong ia-underestimate 'yung sarili mo kasi may pwede ka palang mapatunayan.”

Final 3 castaways castigated by jury members in last Tribal Council of Survivor Philippines!

Kagabi, February 8, ay ipinalabas ang Part 1 ng huling Tribal Council sa reality-competition show ng GMA-7 na Survivor Philippines Celebrity Doubles Showdown.

Ang final Tribal Council ay ang parte ng Survivor Philippines kung saan kinukumpronta ng jury, o mga natanggal na contestants, ang mga natirang players para malaman kung sino sa kanila ang nararapat na manalo ng top prize.

Pang-apat na season na ito ng Survivor sa  GMA-7.

Ang Survivor Philippines ay franchise ng popular na reality show sa Amerika na Survivor.

Ito ay laro kung saan ang mga contestants ay kailangan manirahan sa isang secluded na lugar ng 36 days. Isa-isang nabu-vote out ang mga contestants hanggang sa final tribal council, kung saan Jury ang boboto kung sino ang makakakuha ng top prize.

Sa  Survivor Philippines Celebrity Doubles Showdown ay tumataginting na P3 million ang top prize, kaya naman talagang nagpagalingan ang mga contestants sa bawat challenge na ipinagawa sa kanila.

Sa huli ay tatlo na lang nga ang natira:

Si Mara Yokohama, na naging close alliance ng Volcanoes player na si Arnold Aninion.

Si Betong Sumaya, na tumagal sa laro dahil sa close alliance niya kay Maey Bautista. Wala man siyang napanalunan kahit isang challenge ay siya ang pinaka-likable sa tatlo.

At si Stef Prescott, na naging outcast ng buong tribo at ginawa ang lahat para tumagal hanggang sa huli.

Pito naman ang mga tao sa Jury: sina Chuckie Dreyfus, Arthur Solinap, John Odulio, Gino dela Peña, Arnold Aninion, Maey Bautista, at ang huling na-vote off na si KC Montero.

MARA SPEAKS. Sa final Tribal Council, bago kinausap ng jury ang top three ay isa-isa munang nagbigay ng speech ang Top 3.

Nauna si Mara na magsalita, at agad niyang ipinaalala ang una niyang alliance sa simula pa lamang ng laro.

"Unang-una, nandito ako sa top three dahil sa aking orihinal na alyansa. Ang power five na nabuo noong nasa Bulan pa ako. Kasama dun si Arnie, si Gino, si Johnny, at si KC.

"Kaming lima ang naging power five. Naging loyal ako dun hanggang sa nagpapatunay na maging Survivor," sabi niya.

Isa-isang kinausap ni Mara ng kanyang mga dating ka-alliance para hingin ang mga boto nila.

Ayon sa kanya, si Gino ang una niyang pinagkatiwalaan sa apat.

Pinasalamatan niya si John dahil itinuring siyang "little sister" nito.

Nagpasalamat naman siya kay Arnold, na nakapalagayan niya na ng loob.
