ABS-CBN’s newest and biggest royal teleserye “The Princess and I” will finally premiere on Primetime Bida this Monday (April 16) topbilled by its powerhouse cast Albert Martinez, Gretchen Barreto, Dominic Ochoa, Enrique Gil, Khalil Ramos, Daniel Padilla, and Kathryn Bernardo.

“Princess and I” will feature the story of how King Anand (Albert) and his daughter Princess Mikay (Kathryn) find their way back to each other’s arms after being separated by a tragic accident that changed their lives.

The newest teleserye is set to capture every Kapamilya’s heart with its grand preparation from its remarkable plot, to its marvelous costumes, up to its memorable scenes taken at the Kingdom of Bhutan.

Kathryn, Enrique, Precious Lara Quigaman, Gretchen, and Albert got geared up and went all the way to Bhutan last March to shoot different scenes for the series. The newest ‘Primetime Princess’ Kathryn even admitted that she became closer with her friend and co-star Enrique after getting to know the actor more in the South Asian kingdom.

Joining the cast are some of the respected names in the industry Yayo Aguila, Nina Dolino and Sharmaine Suarez. “Princess and I” is directed by Dado Lumibao and Francis Pasion.

Daniel Padilla Gives Kathryn Bernardo a Necklace!

Young Kapamilya hearthrob Daniel Padilla gave his Princess and I leading lady Kathryn Bernardo a necklace on the latter's 16th birthday. Kathryn, herself confirmed this in an interview with Push.com.ph.Kathryn related that the necklace daniel gave him had a peace sign in it which she liked so much.

"Parang accessories lang talaga na may peace sign. Gusto ko ng peace sign, so sabi niya 'sige sa iyo na lang.' So binigay niya sa akin last two weeks ago."

Kathryn turned 16 last March 26 and Daniel also gave the Princess and I lead star a box of chocolates and guess what? LOVE."Binigyan ko si Kat ng tsokolate at saka pagmamahal," said Daniel in one interview.Daniel Padilla has been very vocal with his interest on Kathryn.

Recently in The Buzz, Daniel confessed that what he felt for Kathryn yet he's not quite sure if that feling is already love.“Di ko po alam pero ngayon ko lang po naramdaman ito sa isang babae,” said Daniel to host Boy Abunda.Daniel said that he always make Kathryn feel so important by treating her like a real princess on the set since they don't have the chance to talk personally about his true feelings for the young lady. He said there's no need since he is very vocal with it in numerous interviews.“Alam naman po niya na gusto ko talaga siya. Siguro nararamdman naman niya.” When asked by Tito Boy of Kathryn's reaction on his being vocal about his feelings with her, Daniel said, “Wala naman po pero siyempre nakita ko naman na natutuwa naman pero ‘di niya ipinapakita na gusto na niya ako.”

Daniel also revealed in his The Buzz live interview that as a newbie in the industry, he needed some sort of inspiration for work and that inspiration is Kathryn. How sweet!Daniel and Kathryn are now busy promoting their teleserye, Princess and I which will premiere this April 16 on ABS-CBN Primetime Bida replacing E-boy.

Daniel Padilla not Jealous Over Kathryn's Closeness with Enrique!

ABS-CBN's future hearthrob, Daniel Padilla is quick to answer that he is not jealous over Enrique and Kathryn being linked to each other. DJ (Daniel's nickname) admitted that he had a crush on Kathryn but to ask whether he is jealous or not on KathQuen team up is absurd according to him since Kathryn is not yet his girlfriend. Here is what he told Vice Ganda on his guesting in the latter's GGV last March 18. “Hindi ko siya pinagse-selosan. Wala naman. Bakit kapag pinag-uusapan para namang girlfriend ko na si Kathryn, wala pa naman.”

Meanwhile, Daniel's mom, Karla Estrada said in an interview that she's fine with Daniel being vocal with his feelings over Kathryn Bernardo and even approves of Kathryn to be his son's girlfriend. Here's Karla's thoughts about Daniel courting Kathryn:

"Okay naman kasi I think mas lalaki yun pagka-vocal ka sa feelings mo sa isang babae. Yun ang sa pananaw ko. And I think he's ready na sa relationship. Pero 16 lang siya so hindi ko na kailangan i-elaborate kung talagang reading ready ba siya ‘di ba? Si Kathryn hindi ako sure kasi bata pa talaga at saka babae yun di ba so yung family niya hindi naman strict pero protective lang.”

“I like her [Kathryn]. I think she’s a sweet girl and masunurin naman siya sa magulang.”

Kathryn and Enrique are currently in Bhutan to shoot some scenes for their upcoming teleserye, Princess and I which according to rumors will premiere this April 2012 on ABS-CBN Primetime Bida.
